Who We Are

Better Together is a movement built on trust, healing, and the power of community. We believe that recovery is more than treatment—it’s about belonging. By integrating Medications for Opioid Use Disorder treatment into spaces that Black and Brown communities already trust—like churches, mosques, community centers, and family support networks—we are breaking barriers to life-saving care.

This initiative is a bold, community-driven solution. We work alongside Peer Recovery Specialists, faith-based leaders, and family support networks to provide judgment-free guidance, ensuring that those struggling with addiction receive the care they need in an environment that feels safe and familiar.

We leverage ART as an international language to highlight the opioid crisis, raise awareness, and inspire healing. Our vision is to create a world where no one faces addiction alone, and where Black and Brown communities have the resources, representation, and support they deserve.

With Better Together, we’re reimagining recovery. We’re building bridges, breaking stigma, and strengthening our communities. Real change happens when we heal together.

Impact Stories

Marcus, 34 – Miami, FL

“I never thought I’d find help outside of a clinic, but Better Together changed that. I met a Peer Recovery Specialist at my church who actually understood what I was going through. With their support, I got on a treatment plan that worked for me, and now, I’m back on my feet, stronger than ever. I’m living proof that recovery is possible—especially when you have a community behind you.”

Tasha, 29 – Liberty City, FL

“I was scared to ask for help. I didn’t want to be judged. But when I found Better Together, it wasn’t like that at all. They met me where I was—literally. I got connected to a recovery guide at a community center, and they helped me start my journey without pressure. Today, I’m six months sober, and I finally feel hopeful about my future.”
